Machart - <p>Po mnoha letech opět vychází jedinečné dílo Jana Amose Komenského – ORBIS SENSUALIUM PICTUS (Svět v obrazech), které by nemělo chybět v žádné rodinné i školní knihovně. Jedná se o výbor z Komenského jazykové encyklopedie, která v době svého vydání natolik předběhla dobu, že ještě v následujících staletích – u nás až do počátku minulého století – sloužila jako živá učební pomůcka pro výuku jazyků. Aktuální vydání připravil kolektiv odborníků pod vedením doc. PhDr. Naděždy Kvítkové, CSc. a doplnil jej obsáhlým úvodem a komentářem k dílu. Nové vydání obsahuje původní latinské texty a je doplněno paralelními překlady do současné češtiny, němčiny, angličtiny a ruštiny. Neméně důležitou součástí knihy je i obrazová část, která reprodukuje původní dřevoryty z několika historických vydání a snaží se tak netradičním způsobem srovnat i vývoj obrazové kultury dané doby. ORBIS PICTUS vychází v pevné vazbě opatřené reliéfní ražbou na titulu. **************************** A new edition of selections from Comenius’ encyclopedia for language learning, ORBIS SENSUALIUM PICTUS (The Visible World in Pictures), which was so ahead of its time when first published in 1658 that it continued to be used in later centuries – even to the mid-1900s - as a living language learning aid. The present edition was prepared by a team of experts under the direction of Dr. Naděžda Kvítková, an associate professor in Czech Slavonic Studies at Charles University in Prague, and includes an extensive preface and commentary to this work of Comenius. The new edition contains the original Latin texts and is supplemented by parallel translations into contemporary English, German, Russian and Czech. An important component of the book are its illustrations, featuring reprints of original woodcuts from several historical editions, the aim being to also compare in a nontraditional way the development of the visual cultures of the respective periods. **************************** Nach mehr als zwanzig Jahren erscheint wieder das einzigartige Werk von Jan Amos Komenský (Comenius) – ORBIS SENSUALIUM PICTUS (Welt in Bildern), das in keiner Familien- oder Schulbibliothek fehlen sollte. Es handelt sich um eine Auswahl aus Comenius´ Sprachenenzyklopädie, die in der Zeit ihrer ersten Ausgabe (1658) so bahnbrechend war, dass sie noch in den nachfolgenden Jahrhunderten – bis zur ersten Hälfte des vergangenen Jahrhunderts - als lebendiges Lehrmittel für den Sprachunterricht diente. Die aktuelle Ausgabe wurde von einem Team von Fachleuten unter der Leitung von PhDr. Naděžda Kvítková, CSc.vorbereitet und durch eine ausführliche Einleitung und Kommentar zum Werk ergänzt. Die neue Ausgabe enthält die ursprünglichen lateinischen Texte und neu auch die Übersetzungen ins Gegenwartsdeutsch, Tschechisch, Englisch und Russisch. Ein nicht unwesentlicher Bestandteil des Buches sind die Bilder, die die Reproduktionen ursprünglicher Holzschnitte aus einigen historischen Ausgaben beinhalten und auf eine untraditionelle Art versuchen, auch die Entwicklung der Bildkultur der damaligen Zeit näherzubringen.</p>
